What types of events does Outdoor Sylvania offer throughout the year?

Outdoor Sylvania Community Parks hosts a variety of popular community events and programs, including the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Star Parties, Kids Trout Fishing Derby, Sunset Serenades Summer Concert Series, and the annual Halloween Hike. Outdoor Sylvania also hosts nature and education programs each month.

Does Outdoor Sylvania host concerts or outdoor entertainment?

Are there family-friendly programs?

Absolutely. Outdoor Sylvania Community Parks runs dozens of family-friendly programs throughout the year at Olander Park and other park locations, including nature education programs, wellness walks, fishing derbies, a farmers market, kids' art workshops, and holiday-themed events. Many programs are free or low-cost.

How do I register for programs and events?

Are your programs and events open to non-residents?

Yes! Everyone is welcome to participate in our events and programs. While residents of the Sylvania School District often receive a discounted "Resident Rate," non-residents can join any public program by paying the standard registration fee.

Is there a cost to attend community events like Sunset Serenades?

Many of our hallmark community events are free to the public, such as the annual Summer Market. However, specific workshops, guided nature tours, and events like the Sunset Serenades Concert Series require a fee.
